This grade 2 listed 350 year old farmhouse is situated near the village of Trefeglwys and set in a sheltered dip up in the Montgomeryshire hills in the heart of Mid Wales. The village is just 3 miles from the farmhouse and the old market-town of Llanidloes is a further 5 miles away – market day is Saturday. Surroundings Here the views of the mountains and valleys are breathtaking. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the surrounding hills, the sound of the stream running through the garden and the expanse of the sky which, on a cloudless night can reveal a thousand stars... It is just one hour's drive west to the sea from Berthlas to the busy, popular university town and resort of Aberystwyth. We are a mere 40 minutes drive to Machynlleth and The Centre for Alternative Technology. A little over one hour's drive south is Hay-on-Wye; the town of books and its annual literary festival. The Roman walled town of Chester is an hour and forty minutes drive north and 30 miles east are the Shropshire hills and the Marches - The Border with England. Accommodation Our accommodation offers 2 interconnecting rooms. We can therefore offer one double-bedded room or a second room with two single beds. Combined, they can provide for a family or group. We also provide a cot. The décor is plain and simple and there is a lounge with wood-burning stove for guests’ use. Wireless internet access is free and available to use at the farmhouse. Breakfast We cook only vegetarian meals and you can be assured of a really tasty full cooked breakfast plus cereals and fresh fruit etc. We also use organic produce wherever possible and all food is prepared and cooked by the chef proprietor. The water supply to the farmhouse comes from a natural spring deep within the hillside. Tariff (please note these prices are from April 2008) Double Room £50 per night. (Single occupancy £40). Twin bedded room £25 per person per night. Children 12 years
and under £12.50 per night. There is no charge for babies under 1 year
